In the next few months, Nicholas & Associates will move back to the company’s headquarters in Mount Prospect that’s doubling in size.

According to President Nick Papanicholas, Jr., the company’s one-story 17,000 sq. ft. facility is in the process of expanding to two stories and 35,000 sq. ft. at 1001 Feehanville Dr. in the Kensington Business Center (KBC). He anticipates moving back to the site around May 1.

“The shell is up and we are finishing the inside,” he said. “When the weather breaks, we will finish the landscaping and parking lot.”

By doubling in size, Papanicholas, Jr. said there will be additional capacity for offices, common areas, team rooms and conference rooms. There will also be a fitness studio for the company’s 53 employees along with a corporate board room and an employee lounge.

“It is going to be a real modern corporate environment for our employees,” Papanicholas, Jr. said. “We will also be able to host events for clients and potential development partners.”

Nicholas & Associates was established in 1978. The company moved to the KBC from a location on Prospect Avenue in downtown Mount Prospect in 2004.

Expansion of the headquarters started in November 2018 after the company temporarily moved to office space in the former School Dist. 59 administration building on Arlington Heights Road in Arlington Heights.

“This is just a reinvestment in our corporate office,” he said. “We have always been committed to be in Mount Prospect, which we love calling home personally and professionally. This is an investment for the future and the next generation of the Papanicholas family.”

He added the expansion will allow to company to add 10-12 employees in the future.

Nicholas & Associates is currently working on several residential, commercial and mixed-use projects in Mount Prospect and surrounding communities and continues to work with various school districts on capital projects.
